We meet Friday
nights at 7pm. We don't meet on the Friday after
Thanksgivng, the Friday before Christmas and the Friday before
New Year's.

I'm in my
mid-thirties, will I fit in? |

Our ministry is open
to anyone that is not married. The people who come to the
ministry cover a broad range of types. The ages of people
range from 30 up into the 70's. There are people with
children, and those without, those who have never been married
and those who are divorced or have been widowed. The
diversity of the ministry directly reflects the diversity in the
body of Christ.

What is the format on
Friday nights? |

|
From 7 to 7:45 pm
people arrive and relax from the crazy week. Sometimes
people will bring food to share as they fellowship about
the past week. About 7:45pm worship starts and continues
for about 30 minutes. After worship come announcements and
then a bible study followed by a few more worship songs and
prayer if anyone would like it. We are usually finished by
9:15 pm so that those with children can get them home and into
bed. Fellowship continues around ping-pong, pool, foosball
and just plain old eating, drinking coffee and talking until
whenever everyone goes home.

We have child care
for children ages 4 and up. Childcare includes awesome
games and fun arts and crafts, but also time for bible study and
prayer. We believe the children are our future and that it
is never to early to start teaching them about the Lord.

other than Fridays? |
|
|
|
Fridays are out main
night where we can come together as a group and learn about and
grow in the Lord but we do have many other events that happen
during the year. During the summertime we have at least 1
BBQ per month in addition to Dodger games hikes etc. We
have an annual Christmas Party, a New Year's Eve party and the
first Saturday in December we have our Annual Singles
Conference. We also have women's luncheons, men's
luncheons and many opportunities to come together as a group and
to serve others both inside and outside of the body of Christ.

Sorry, but no.
If you are still married in the eyes of the law, you are
certainly married in the eyes of the Lord. We would not
want to make an unmarried person stumble by giving them the
opportunity to "covet their neighbor's wife/husband". We
would also hope that God would work a miracle and you and your
spouse would be reconciled.

We can't speak for
other singles ministries but we can speak for Single Focus.
Our purpose is definitely to hook people up, but to hook them up
with Jesus first. We believe that if a person has a right
relationship with Jesus, then God will bring them a spouse in
his timing, or God will give them contentment in being single.
We work hard to make our ministry a "safe" place where people,
(especially women) can come and worship the Lord without fearing
that they are entering a "meat market".

nor discourage dating but desire to focus people on "seeking
first the kingdom of God and His righteousness". We
believe that by seeking a right relationship with the Lord, a
person becomes a better future spouse. We have MANY
couples who met through the ministry who are now married.
